like my makeready tote, this “star” tote is huge, and constructed by sewing together nearly two dozen multicolored prints. one small rectangle in the middle says, “I am a big star.” please note, the colors and placement of colors is random.
like all my bags, this is made, completely by hand, right here in New York city. if you need to wash it, use oxyclean in cold water and hang dry. do not iron, the ink is plastic based and the intense heat will ruin your bag, your iron, and probably your day.

after you purchase, I’ll send you email instructions about how to send me photos.
I’ll need 4-6 photos–those with central figure and not a lot of extraneous detail are best.
In about a week, I’ll send you a few pieces of art–I’ll need you to choose one so I can make a screen and get your bag printed. on occasions, none of the photos you send will work. no problem, you can always send me additional choices.
you can choose from a number of colors with no extra charge (custom or matched pms colors will cost extra though)
your bag will ship to you approximately 4 weeks after you have approved art.
when printers are setting up a job, the practice sheets we use to test for alignment and ink color are called make readies, as in, these are the pieces we use to “make the job ready.” i save these pieces, carefully patching them together to make this huge, oversized tote. please note, each one is completely unique–some patches will have two or three prints on them, others just one, and the collection of prints will be different on each bag.

let me choose the pages or send me a list of pages you want included.
paperback or hardback will work, but please note: if you send a hardback without a dust cover, your whole bag will be pages–we cannot use the hard cover in the making of the bag.
from time to time, books are not in good enough shape to work in a book bag , but I don’t know that until I’ve taken it apart and started production. if your book doesn’t hold up, I will refund your money, but please note, your book will have already been disassembled.
Please note: our regular size tote is more able to use fragile book pages–if you have a super old or brittle book, I’d choose the smaller size. most other books will work for the giant tote.
